Macy Gray, Mick Fleetwood, the Dave Mason Band, the Syn, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and California Transit Authority have signed on for a tribute to veteran songwriter Ray Kennedy, to be held March 14 at the Avalon in Los Angeles. The event will be filmed for a Kennedy-centered TV pilot, "In One Room With Ray Kennedy."
Also on the bill is celebrity band 16:9, featuring James Denton of "Desperate Housewives," Hugh Laurie of "House," Bob Guiney of "The Bachelor" and Greg Grunberg of "Alias." Proceeds will benefit the Guitar Center Music Foundation, which works to bolster music education in schools.
